Yogurt Delight Recipe |


Best for lazy weekend.It's easy to make n tasty n as well as healthy also.I saw this in Master chef TV serial n I love the Idea. Many times  I tried at home n today sharing with you :))



Ingredients-
300 gm  hung  curd 
4     tbsp sugar
6     tbsp sauce( chocolate, strawberry or as your choice)
1     cup mix fruit (banana, orange grapes or mango, strawberry, apple)
1     cup mix flakes(honey loop, chocoas)

Method- 
Divide the curd in into 2 bowls
Mix 4 tbsp sugar in one half and whisk till smooth.
Mix  4 spoon sauce in another half and whisk.
In another mixing bowl combine all flakes with 2 spoon sauce



To serve spoon about 4 tbsp flakes in sundae glass, top with white yogurt, then add little diced fruit, top with colored yogurt garnish 
with some flakes and fruits.

Note
you can repeat the layers if glass looks empty
Adjust sugar according to your taste
Fruit can use yours choice
Instead of sugar can use Honey also.

Kadi Recipe



Kadi is simple n easy  and can have with Rice,Pulav,khichadi and any types of Paratha.....                                  
Ingredients:

Gram flour                 3 tbsp
Sour thick curds         2 cup+ Water 3 1/2 cups
Green chilies             2 
curry leaves              4- 5 leaves
Salt                         1 1/2 tsp     
Turmeric powder        1/8 tsp
mustard seeds          1/4 tsp
methi dana               1/4 tsp
Asafogetida              a pinch
Coriander leaves        2-3 tbsp
Ghee                       2 tbsp
Kastoori methi          1 tbsp

Method
Beat the sour curds and the three tbsp of gram flour together into a smooth batter. Add water , salt and turmeric powder to it
Chop green chilies fine.Heat two tbsp ghee in a pan, add  mustard seeds and methi dana and quarter tsp hing powder to it.
When mustard splutters add  curry leaves, green chilly and kastoori methi and add  curds .
and now let it to Stir over low heat till the kadi gets cooked and becomes thick.

Garnish with coriander leaves



Tips
To make gujrati kadhi add 2 tbsp sugar.
to make Punjabi Kadi add besan pakodi in this.
kastoori methi is dry fenugreek leaves, available in packets in grocery shops and have a unique flavor.

Carrot Cucumber Raita




After a unsaid Break,Enjoyed a lot with friends n now feeling Tired n lazy ,so lunch was too simple but i like this Raita very much...
Ingredients:-
Curd                              1 cup
Cucumber,finely chopped 1 small
Carrot Grated                2 med.
coriander leaves            2-3 tbsp
zeera,black 
pepper powder             1/2 tsp

salt                            to taste
Method:-

Beat curd. add all dry items and mix well.
Add cucumber,carrot,coriander leaves and mix well.



Serve Immediate or chilled
Best with any times of Paratha or rice.

Best Side dish with paratha,kulcha,rice , khichadi. Today Our lunch done with Mtehi paratha and yummy raita.
Ingredients:-

Curd Rice/Tahir rice



Before marriage I never had Curd Rice.I had it in My GMIL's Kitchen and it was Tasty.I came to Tirupur and here my Neighboure..... Basically she is Gujarati but she knew all south Indian dishes.She taught me South Dishes, one of them Curd Rice.
Yanshu my 2 year noo noo 23 month old naughty boy also like it very much.

Ingredients Serving   2-3
Rice                           1 1/2 cup
Curd/ plain yogurt       2 cup
Milk                           1 1/2 cup
Carrot,grated            1 tbsp
Coriander leaves        1 tbsp
Salt                         as needed
Asafoetida a pinch
 To temper
Oil                   2-3 tsp
Mustard                     1 1/2 tsp
Urad dal                   1 tbsp
Green chilli chopped  2
cashews 2-3 tbsp(optional)
Curry leaves few
Method
Wash the rice thrice and pressure cook with 4 cups of water for 30 min. Cook it in medium flame till done. Once done, mash the rice well and mix  boiled, hot milk. Add more water if needed.
Let it cool down.Add the curd and mix well.
Add Carrot,coriander leaves and mix well.
Heat oil add musturd ,let it spluter then add urad dal ,cashews,green chilli and curry leaves and saute for a minute,then off the flame and mix it in rice.
Note
For curd rice , rice should be over cooked.
you can make without carrot also or can add raw mango,cucumber along with carrot.
Some times instead of carrot I add Fruits like pomegranate and grapes.
When rice is cooled down then add curd.Milk, curd, water quntity adjust according to the consistency you need.
Green chilli cut in big size, then kids can easly pick it out.
For Creamy taste add 1/4 cup milk cream along with milk.

Khatta Besan

It's Maharastian dish but we like it very much.It's not my first time, oftnely I am cooking this but first time with Chana .Actually Besan was finished then I remember my Mom is using chana dal if there is no besan , so I tried it & result was too Good.

 Ingredients:-
Chana Dal                   1/2 cup
butter milk                   3 cup
Onion chopped           2 med.
Tomato chopped         3-4 med.
Green chilli chopped    2
Garlic chopped            5-6 clove
Curry Leaves              6-7
Musturd Seed             1/4 tsp
Turmaric Powder        1/4 tsp
Asafogetida                 a pinch
Salt                             2 tsp
Oil                              5-6 tbsp

Method:-
Soak chana dal in water for 1 hour. Drain & grind it.
Take butter milk with 2 1/2 cup water and add dal paste and mix well.
Heat oil add musturd seed let it splutter, add asafogetida,curry leaves,green chilli and onion. saute till onion turns golden brown.
Add garlic and saute for few seconds,add tomato then Add dal batter cook till batter becomes thick. It takes 7-10 min.
serve hot with Roti but It best with Jawar ki roti.
Tip
Can Use Besan (gram flour-1/2 cup) in place of chana dal and process is same
